The documents that are to be downloaded depend on whether you are an individual or an institution. There are three individual investor categories and two institution categories. If you are an individual investor, you would fall into a domestic investor, foreign investor or a Sri Lankan living abroad (Non-resident Sri Lankan).

If you are a corporate entity, you may be either a local or a foreign corporate. For more details, please refer the table below.

There are another set of documents to be filled to lodge the share certificates with the Central Depository System (CDS) before trading those stocks in the stock market.

  All three types of individual investor accounts can be operated as joint accounts by using the same forms given above.
