Deshayata Jawayak from Assetine
The second programme of Assetine Finance’s ‘Deshayata Jawayak’ CSR initiative was held in the Eastern Province to support the enhancement of the financial literacy and management of small and medium scale entrepreneurs on 20th May 2023 in Batticaloa. The event had nearly 100 participants of which over 50% comprised of female entrepreneurs.
The resource person, Mr. Athithan Arunathavarajah , is a Chartered Accountant, Business Consultant, Board member of IMED and Lead mentor for CA Sri Lanka’s SME Task Force.
He spoke about financial literacy & management, best industry practices, use of technology to increase efficiency, assessing new business avenues, importance of establishing a brand name for a product, effective utilization, management and maintaining debt facilities, etc. Also, His in-depth knowledge and expertise in the SME sector made this programme highly effective with great participant engagement and feedback.
